Privacy Policy
Effective July 27, 2026 · Last updated August 4, 2026
Trajectory ("the app," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of Risoris Group LLC. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it's used, and the choices you have. We built Trajectory to help you make progress toward your goals — not to collect data about you. We keep what we handle to the minimum needed to make the app work.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you use Trajectory, you enter information to set up and track your goals. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:
- Your selected goal or track (for example, college admissions, pre-med, or pre-law) and the milestones within it.
- Progress details you record — such as courses, test scores, GPA, activities, hours, and tasks you complete.
- Messages you send to the in-app coach.
Calendar information (optional)
If you choose to connect your device calendar, Trajectory reads your existing events for the day so it can find your free time and suggest when to work toward your goals. With your permission, it can also add study or task blocks to your calendar. You control this access, and you can turn it off at any time in your device's Settings.
Information collected automatically
We keep automatic collection to a minimum. Basic technical information (such as app version and general diagnostic data) may be processed to keep the app running reliably. Apple may also provide us with standard, aggregate App Store statistics, which do not identify you individually.
How We Use Your Information
- To calculate your progress and show you where you stand across your goals.
- To generate a plan for what to do next and, if you allow calendar access, to schedule it around your real availability.
- To answer your questions through the in-app coach and provide relevant, goal-aware guidance.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the app.
AI Features and Third Parties
Three features use artificial intelligence: the coach, the per-school reports, and the Common App activity-list builder. Before any of your information is sent for these features, Trajectory asks your permission inside the app and names who it goes to. You can withdraw that permission at any time under Settings › AI & Data Sharing. If you decline, the AI features stay off and everything else in the app — your progress, your chances, your daily plan — keeps working normally.
What is sent. Only what the feature needs to answer you: the message you type into the coach, or the school and major you select, together with the goal track and progress details you entered yourself (GPA, test scores, courses, activities, hours logged, and milestone status). We do not send your name, email address, contacts, or calendar events.
How we collect it. You provide all of it directly, by typing it into the app. None of it is gathered in the background, purchased, or obtained from third parties.
Who it is sent to. Anthropic PBC, our AI processing provider.
How it is used. Solely to generate the response that is returned to you inside Trajectory. It is not used to train AI models, is never sold, and is never used for advertising or to build an advertising profile of you.
How it is protected. We engage Anthropic under commercial terms that require it to safeguard your information to a standard equal to the protections described in this policy, to process it only on our instructions to provide the feature, and not to use it to train its models.
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run Trajectory, including:
- Anthropic PBC — AI processing for the coach, per-school reports, and activity-list builder.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — to run the app's backend services securely.
- Apple — App Store distribution and standard platform services.
These providers process information only as needed to perform their services for us, under terms that require protections equal to those in this policy. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Data Retention
We retain the information associated with your use of Trajectory for as long as needed to provide the app to you. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below, and we will delete it unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and limit access to it.
Children's Privacy
Trajectory is intended for users aged 13 and older, including high-school and college students. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices and Rights
- Calendar access: grant or revoke it at any time in your device Settings.
- Access & deletion: request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing us.
- App data: deleting the app removes locally stored data from your device.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
